Igniting a passion for technology, engineering and creativity for young girls in Cornwall.

How we support girls
Hi! Welcome to TECgirls. We are a non-profit project based in Cornwall who provide workshops, resources and community events that encourage young girls to explore the areas of Technology, Engineering and Creativity (TEC). Our aim is to show girls that TEC can be a girl thing!
TECgirls aims to inspire the next generation of coders, engineers, video game designers, app developers, and digital artists in Cornwall. But how can we excite and motivate, if we don't know what the current attitudes and challenges are for young girls, their parents and their teachers?

We are excited to launch the TECgirls Insights Report. A chance for us to better understand the capabilities, opportunities, and motivations for girls in Cornwall. Our research focuses specifically on Cornwall and our findings will help inform what type of events we host, how we engage with schools and even provide suggestions for schools and other organisations across Cornwall.

Our research has support from the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Digital Skills Partnership, the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP, Cornwall Council, and a number of schools across Cornwall. To read the report just click on the image of the report. You can also email us for a copy.
